The Leadership society

The Leadership Society is an exclusive group, composed of donors who make annual gifts to the University totaling $1,000 or more*. This special donor society was established to recognize those who strongly believe in the University's mission - to transform the lives of our students for the better by providing an excellent, accessible education.

Leadership gifts have an immediate impact and provide life-changing experiences for students, critical resources for faculty and funding for programs that make the Binghamton experience rigorous and challenging. Simply put, leadership gifts transform lives.

Leadership Society donors are recognized as the University's strongest supporters and receive regular communications, special recognition in the Binghamton University Foundation's annual report, and a Leadership Society gift at the close of the fiscal year. Members may also receive invitations to special events that the University may hold in their area.

Transform a life. Join the Leadership Society today.

For more information about membership in the Leadership Society or about making a gift, please contact Donor Relations at 607-777-6927.

*single or cumulative gifts of $1,000 or more received in the July-June fiscal year qualify for recognition in the Society.

Kiril Tochkov's life was transformed at Binghamton University

As a undergraduate student at a European university, Kiril Tochkov MA '02, PhD '05 says he never felt connected to that institution. That changed as soon as he arrived at Binghamton University to begin graduate school. "Here, everyone knew each other and everyone was always ready to help," says Tochkov, a native of Bulgaria. "That gave me a lot of opportunities to develop." Develop he certainly did, garnering Binghamton Fund-supported awards for academic achievement and excellence in teaching. Graduate student travel grants supported by the Binghamton Fund enabled Tochkov to present his research on the revolutionary economic changes sweeping China at several prestigious academic conferences, including one where he was offered a job. Tochkov is now an assistant professor of economics at Texas Christian University. "I am very happy and thankful for the support I received from Binghamton University," he says.

A special invitation to join the Leadership Society

Binghamton University was a nurturing place for me. It broadened my horizons, opened my eyes to new possibilities and career paths and provided many opportunities to try new endeavors and face intellectual challenges. I believe it is time for me to lend a hand. This will help ensure future generations of students find the same welcoming environment and range of opportunities that were available to me and my generation. I hope many of you also share that feeling.
I invite you to join this select group of donors who have demonstrated a special commitment to Binghamton and share its vision and mission to provide life-changing opportunities for future generations of Binghamton students. Leadership Society donors are among the University's strongest supporters. I'm proud to support the University at the leadership level because I know that leadership gifts make life-changing experiences happen for Binghamton students and provide critical funding for academic programs and faculty.
