Binghamton University depends on the support of thousands of people who believe in high-quality, affordable public education. Thousands of alumni and friends across the United States give to Binghamton – financially, as volunteers, and in other ways.

For instance, in Binghamton’s first-ever fundraising campaign, more than 65% of the University’s alumni supported scholarships, faculty, academic programs, facilities, and other critical needs, raising more than $40 million.

Alumni and friends support the University through career networking and mentoring programs, sponsoring student internships, participation in alumni activities, collaborative programs and partnerships such as the Ross Community Projects Fund, and much more.

For more information on these opportunities, contact the Alumni Association at 607-777-2432 or the Foundation at 607-777-6208.

Our donors and volunteers include members of the community, such as those who participate in the Harpur Forum. These people – business and civic leaders – have been instrumental in achieving notable milestones, such as the establishment of the Thomas J. Watson School of Engineering and Applied Science, the Anderson Center for the Performing Arts and the Small Business Development Center, a management consulting program offered free of charge to small business clients.

When the University decided to create a Memorial Courtyard, students, donors and volunteers joined to raise money for the project, which commemorates alumni lost in the September 11 terrorist attacks. Michael Radner ’86, a landscape architect from Massachusetts, volunteered his professional services to design the project.
